My Leadership Perspective
I believe leadership begins with awareness and is sustained through communication. How we listen, how we show up, and how we adapt to others determines the quality of our relationships, our teams, and our organizations. Communication is not just a skill set. It is the engine of connection, trust, and collaboration.
When leaders learn to communicate with intention, clarity, and presence, everything improves: alignment, engagement, performance, and culture. My work exists to help make leadership and communication more human, more effective, and more conscious.
My Story
I’m a corporate coach, consultant, and communication strategist who partners with leaders and teams to elevate how they connect, lead, and inspire. My work focuses on strengthening clarity, presence, and authentic communication in service of high-performing, trust-based cultures. I’ve been recognized among the Top 30 Body Language Professionals in the World for eight consecutive years, and I bring together behavioral science, executive insight, and emotional intelligence to help leaders communicate with intention and lead with confidence.
Over the past two decades, I’ve partnered with organizations across industries — from Fortune 500 companies and fast-scaling healthcare innovators to media networks and nonprofit organizations — guiding thousands of professionals toward stronger collaboration, communication, and relational trust. I’m also a familiar presence in media, with recurring appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, and Headline News with Dr. Drew. My work has been featured on Access Hollywood, NBC, ABC, FOX, TLC, Lifetime, and other major outlets, as well as in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and numerous digital publications.
As an author and thought leader, my work bridges personal transformation and professional excellence. My book Who Are You Choosing to Be? A Playbook for Finding Life-Changing Answers has been used in advanced psychology programs. I’m also the author of the children’s book The Very Best Christmas Tree EVER!, which benefits charitable causes, and a contributing author to Remote Work Technology: Keeping Your Small Business Thriving From Anywhere, where I explore how leaders can cultivate trust and communication in hybrid environments.
Warm, insightful, and grounded in real-world experience, I bring a unique blend of presence, empathy, and strategic perspective to every engagement. Whether I’m working one-on-one with executives, facilitating leadership teams, or speaking to global audiences, my focus remains the same: helping people lead with authenticity, communicate with impact, and create meaningful, lasting change.
The Early Years
I grew up as a highly observant and creative kid who noticed everything: body language, tone, the spaces between words. In junior high, a classmate once confronted me because it was “strange” how intently I watched people. At the time, I didn’t understand it. Years later, I would realize that paying attention to what people communicate beneath their words would become my life’s work.
In high school, I was the person who could read the room before anyone spoke, sensing what people wanted or needed without them saying a word. College and early adulthood brought the challenge of translating that intuitive skill into something the world valued. There were plenty of missteps and moments of uncertainty along the way.
I began my career in entertainment and media, which taught me a great deal about people, image, and perception, but also forced me to confront questions of authenticity. I spent years trying to understand who I really was beneath the roles I played and the versions of myself I thought I needed to be. Like many people, those explorations sometimes led to additional layers of armor rather than clarity.
Life has provided me with more than a few moments of reckoning. Times when identities I had built no longer held, and I had to rebuild, reimagine, and re-emerge. Those moments taught me something essential: when everything else falls apart, how we communicate still matters. Who we are is always evolving. And growth is far more sustainable when we are surrounded by people willing to tell us the truth with care.
My Evolution
Like many kids, I grew up fascinated by television, constantly predicting plot twists and trying to understand why characters did what they did. In a way, my journey has taken me from studying people on screens to standing on stages and working with leaders to help them understand people more clearly. What began as observation became transformation. I moved from asking why humans behave the way they do to helping leaders and teams choose to do better, together.
I grew up in a challenging socio-economic environment, and today I find myself sitting in rooms with leaders whose decisions shape organizations, communities, and culture. I once described my journey as “From a humble country playground to the global stage.” However, no matter where life has taken me, the truth is, I am still that kid from the country playground. And with each passing year, I value those early lessons more deeply. Those formative experiences remain at the core of who I am. They remind me that growth is continuous, that perspective matters, and that every experience can become either a limitation or a catalyst. That choice, I’ve learned, is always ours to make. We decide. Whether unconsciously or consciously, we choose who we are being moment-by-moment.
My Core Values & My Why
I am guided by three core values: authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. For me, authenticity isn’t about bluntness or self-expression at all costs. It’s about being real enough to listen. Curiosity keeps me learning and evolving at all stages of life and experience. Compassion keeps me human, especially when conversations are complex or uncomfortable or when exploring what simply can’t be known. These values guide my work whether I’m coaching an executive, facilitating a leadership team, or engaging in a conversation with someone who has never heard my name before or who has no concept what the heart of this work is all about.
I stand for conscious communication: communication that builds bridges rather than burns bandwidth. In leadership, relationships, and organizations, everything rises and falls on how we communicate. My work helps people use their words, body language, and presence to create trust instead of tension, and connected collaboration instead of conflict. My “why” comes from years of watching people feel unseen or misunderstood, including myself at times. When I realized that communication is not just a tool but the foundation of connection, everything clicked. My purpose is to help people understand their impact, find their voice, and communicate in ways that make work and life more human and, hopefully, more enjoyable. Great communication is not simply about getting what we want. More often, it’s about learning to hear and deliver what others around us most need.
Working With Me
When you work with me, I help you, your team, or your organization elevate how you lead, influence, and communicate — across your career, your relationships, and your life. I specialize in helping people translate good intentions into clear, confident, and compassionate communication that produces real results without sacrificing humanity. Together, we work toward leading with conscious choice, authentic presence, and greater alignment between who you are and how you show up.
